Update 21/11/12 (ooh, palindromic date!) - I really enjoyed it! A lovely, heart-warming story, a bit laboured and repetitive at times but still good. If I'm really honest, I enjoyed the first half, before Colin entered the story, a little more than the second. The second half is where it started to get a touch laboured. Having said that, I loved the idea of the garden coming back to life and the vivid descriptions of the garden and nature in general. Definitely glad I finally read it!
I'm re-reading Ballet Shoes, a childhood favourite, at the moment and it got me thinking of a few children's classics that I've never read, The Secret Garden being one of them. I thought I ought to give it a go and see what I missed out on!
