Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables #1)
I loved this book when I read it as a child and I fell in love with it all over again when I re-read it this week. It made me laugh and it made me cry, several times over. I'd forgotten just how wonderful it was/is; Anne is such a brilliant, lively character and the descriptions of the Island are so vivid, you feel like you're right there in person. I found myself remembering the story and anticipating it as I went along but it didn't spoil my enjoyment at all. One of my favourite books :)
